Almighty God reveals Himself to us in wondrous ways! Does he not? As Holy Spirit filled believers, we embrace the power of the Holy Ghost and the transformational experience of God’s revelations. Let us look to the Bible, where we find the foundation of our faith and encounter the divine revelation of God.
In the book of Acts, we witness the extraordinary outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. As the disciples gathered in one place, “suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them tongues parting asunder, like as of fire; and it sat upon each one of them”. (Acts 2:2-3, American Standard Version) The Holy Spirit descended upon them, empowering and equipping them for the Great Commission. This blessed event marked a powerful revelation of God’s divine presence among His people.
The Apostle Paul, in his epistle to the Corinthians, also speaks of God’s revelation through the Holy Spirit. He writes, “Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, and which entered not into the heart of man, whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him. But unto us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). The Holy Spirit unveils to us the mysteries of God, enabling us to grasp the depth of His love and the glorious inheritance prepared for His children.
We also read in John’s Gospel, where we encounter Jesus as the ultimate revelation of God. Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him”. (John 14:6-7). Jesus, the Son of God, manifested the Father’s love, grace, and truth through His words, actions, and sacrificial death on the Cross. In Him, we behold the fullness of God’s revelation.
Brothers and sisters, it it through the Holy Spirit that we are granted spiritual discernment and revelation. The Apostle John reminds us, “And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him”. (1 John 2:27) As Spirit-filled believers, we have a direct connection to our Heavenly Father, and through His anointing, we receive divine instruction, understanding, and revelation. Therefore, let us not rely solely on our own knowledge or human wisdom and philosophy, but let us eagerly seek the revelation of the Holy Spirit – let us seek God’s presence in our lives. As we open our hearts to Him, He unveils the truth of God’s Word, illuminating the Scriptures and enabling us to apply them in our lives. The Holy Ghost guides us, convicts us, and empowers us to live a life that reflects the character of Jesus Christ.
Let’s cherish the precious gift of God’s revelations. Embrace the power of the Holy Spirit, for it is through Him that we experience the manifest presence of God. Open your hearts to receive His presence, allowing God to transform your lives and empower you to be bold witnesses of His grace and truth to a world that is filled with darkness.
May we be a people who hunger for God’s revelations, seeking His face, and surrendering our lives to His will. May we be vessels of His love, shining His light in this old world. And may we walk in the power and anointing of the Holy Ghost, continuously seeking His guidance and direction.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Saviour, may God bless you! Amen.
